Mikael Eliasson's work focuses primarily on portraiture as he explores the concept of landscape. His work has been exhibited throughout Europe and recently gained recognition by Portfolio Catalogue magazine. The series "västkustgårdens kollobarn" is featured in issue no. 43.
In 2004 he was commissioned to promote and raise the profile of the region of Piemonte following their hosting of the winter olympics in 2006 and the work was exhibited in Turin.
Mikael Eliasson co-founded Etri, a London based organisation founded in 2004 which is devoted to showcasing the work of young emerging artists.
After completing his studies under the Magnum photographer Mark Power at the University of Brighton, Mikael now lives and works in London.
Besides his commisioned and personal work, Mikael works as a Photography tutor.
Most recent exhibition was on show at the Exit Gallery in Soho.
